We've all been told many times to eat more vegetables.
And for good reason.
Vegetables play an important role in our life and in healing,
and they offer endless health benefits,
many of which haven't even been discovered yet by medical research or medical science.
They are not only high in fiber, which is critical to everyday life,
but they sweep impurities and bacteria out of our intestinal tract and support healthy bacteria.
They also cleanse our liver and contain numerous vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help your entire body to function at its best.
Have you ever been told to eat more vegetables in your life?
Maybe when you were younger, or maybe you just knew you should be eating more vegetables.
Or maybe you see other people eating more vegetables.
Some of us have a fear of eating too many vegetables.
We don't like the taste, many of us.
And some people just love their vegetables, can't eat enough of them, and they eat plenty of them.
But this is about making sure you get everything you need in your life to heal.
See, we only get so many meals in a lifetime.
In fact, on the average, between everybody and globally, we get about 80,000 meals in a lifetime.
80,000 is not really that big of a number.
It really isn't when you think about it.
So if we've already missed 20, 30, or 40,000 meals
because they were foods that were not really that great and not good for us,
like that meal we had when we had chocolate cake
or that other meal when we had a fried food,
we lose out.
but we can make all that back.
We can make it back.
Absolutely, we can get that back.
You know how they say out there,
have you heard this,
where if you miss sleep, you never make it up?
Let me tell you,
if you miss your vegetables in the past,
you can make it up.
You really can.
You can incorporate those vegetables in your diet
and make up for all those meals missed
so that you can live healthier, be free of disease,
help heal chronic illness, and move yourself forward in so many ways.
Let's talk about what vegetables offer, something that no one knows about.
You've heard the term being grounded or grounding or how to get more grounded
because so much is being thrown at us and we're running around
and we've got a million things on our plate.
or we're just overwhelmed and we're stressed and we're dealing with anxiety
and so we go to yoga class and we go and meditate.
We try to constantly get grounded.
One of the foundations of getting grounded,
one of the critical, most important foundational steps of getting grounded
is getting more vegetables in your diet.
This is the catalyst.
This is the stone wall.
This is the foundation.
To you becoming grounded.
So that meditation becomes a little stronger and brighter.
Yes.
Meditation.
The yoga becomes even more powerful and moving.
And the spiritual part of you grows.
The emotional part of you strengthens.
When you're more grounded, this is what happens.
Because those vegetables bring up minerals from the ground.
Yes.
That's right.
See, if you sit on grass or sit in a park and you touch your hands on the grass, on the ground,
you start to become grounded.
That's right.
If you do yoga and you not only do it though in the yoga studio,
but you do it outside on the beach or you do it in a park or you do it in your yard
or you do it out wherever you are enjoying nature, you become more grounded.
So we have to get vegetables in us that grow from the earth that are also holding that grounding ability.
You see, if we just get grounded by touching the earth, but yet we eat foods that break our grounded nature.
You know, we eat too many foods, you know, we eat too many irritating foods.
You know what those are?
if we eat too much wheat, if we eat way too much allergenic food,
or if we're just eating the wrong way in general.
What happens is we lose our grounding if we're eating fried foods, processed foods.
And even if they're not fried or processed foods,
and we're eating what we think is kind of healthy,
it could be not as grounding still.
So we lose opportunities.
So let's make the best out of this.
When you're grounded, you become spiritually strong, emotionally strong, mentally strong.
Things start coming your way.
That's right.
And your shield gets stronger for things you don't want coming your way.
All this happens.
And guess what?
The foundation is getting those vegetables in you, getting asparagus in you.
the power in asparagus as a grounding mechanism so that the rest of the body can heal so that when
you do yoga and you do the things that you like and you take walks and you ride your bicycle and
you do these things that help ground you and you look at the stars and you look at the sun
and you look at the birds and you take hikes on trails these all these powerful ways to heal if
you're eating more vegetables, it becomes the igniter. It's the lighter fluid. It's the igniter.
It really is. So you bring in asparagus. You bring in sweet potatoes. You bring in regular potatoes.
Don't be afraid of these things. Don't be afraid of these vegetables.
you can bring in beets you can bring in carrots you can bring in turnips you can bring in
cauliflower you can bring in broccoli you can do this you can have vegetables
and getting them in more than once a day is best because we lose our ground at nature
We really do.
We lose our ability to ground ourselves properly.
And it's very important to get those vegetables in us when we can.
You can have steamed asparagus for lunch.
You can also have raw asparagus if you really want.
You can have steamed broccoli.
You can have raw broccoli.
Everybody's a little different.
Some people like raw broccoli and some people like it steamed.
But this should be incorporated into your diet.
And like I said, it's about balance, right?
But whose balance is really the right balance?
And whose moderation is really the right moderation?
Maybe vegetables a couple times a day is enough?
No, celery.
Bring in celery.
Bring in celery juice.
Don't be afraid to juice celery.
16 ounces of celery juice.
Cleanse the liver.
That's what celery juice can do.
Chop up celery.
Throw it in a salad.
Chop up some cauliflower.
Throw it in a salad.
These are critical ways of healing.
And you can have these at your fingertips in the grocery store.
You just have to go in there and get them or farmer's market as well.
And if you get some radishes, realize you can eat the radish greens.
Radish greens are one of the most powerful foods out there.
One of the most powerful foods out there are the radish greens.
And you get them right.
They're the right fresh off of fresh radishes.
You see the greens.
You chop up the greens.
You throw them in a salad.
There's something that we all fear out there.
It's disease and illness and cancers.
Well, vegetables help reverse these illnesses and diseases.
They really do.
Autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, heart disease, vascular disease, all of them and
above, these vegetables help reverse that.
So think about how many meals you get in your life that have been vegetables.
And make up.
It's make up time.
But you can do it.
It's not.
This is not going to be the hardest thing to do.
Because I stand behind you.
I support you.
I know we can do this together.
So what I would do is I would get some broccoli and get some cauliflower.
And I would make a salad.
You know, once a day.
You can make a salad once a day if you'd like.
Chop up some broccolis, chop up some cauliflower.
You can even steam asparagus and then put steamed vegetables in your salad if you like that as well.
That's another option.
You can put steamed asparagus right in your salad.
You can chop up some fresh radishes and radish greens.
Radishes are very antimicrobial.
They kill every bacteria, every fungus in the intestinal tract.
They feed only good bacteria.
Radishes are a miracle food.
So chop those up and the radish greens, put that in your salad and make one once a day.
If that's what you can do, if you can do two vegetable salads, that would be amazing.
And then there's these fruit vegetables.
I call them fruit vegetables.
Zucchini, because it's really a fruit, but it's a squash.
Zucchini, crookneck squash, yellow squash, green squash.
Those are amazing too.
You can steam those up if you'd like.
You can also have them raw in a salad, chop them up.
So these are options to reversing illness.
These are options for you to heal and strengthen that spiritual and emotional part of you and ground you so you can become indestructible.
You have to understand it's being grounded that has us keep the ability to fight.
meaning to fight what we need to fight for in our lives,
to pick the battles we need to pick to move forward and heal,
to defend ourselves from toxins,
defend ourselves from what the world throws at us,
and the stress and the responsibilities.
Being grounded is the key to deflecting all of that.
So you move through it in a way that you become unstoppable.
and that's all part of getting enough vegetables in you
because it's the catalyst.
It's the foundation.
Thank you for being with me on this.
We're going to go to the next step
and I'm so proud of you.
